The internet just does not seem to like Rick Perry. His “Oops” moment during the GOP debate a few weeks ago had the masses laughing and, in many cases, cringing at his inability to name the third department he would eliminate in his presidency. Luckily for Perry, his PR team detected feelings of sympathy from the American public, and ran this lighthearted advertisement. 5 days later the above advertisement, entitled “Strong,” began playing on televisions and computers across America. The controversial ad deals with religion and homosexuality in the military. Comments are disabled on all of Perry’s YouTube videos, but the ratings speak loud enough on their own: 98% of viewers “Dislike” the advertisements. Many viewers, such as YouTube member dbzlabrat, have made videos in reply, showing their disagreement with Perry’s message “against diversity and equal rights.”
